Northampton / Ludlow Doubleheader Set for Sunday

Due to today's cancellation for the Ludlow Renegades @ Northampton Swamp Dogs game, the series will begin tomorrow with a doubleheader to be held at Whitney Park in Ludlow.

Game 1 of the doubleheader will start at 11:00 a.m., with game 2 following with a tentative 2:00 p.m. start time. Game 3, if necessary, will likely be held on Monday night.

Today's Ludlow @ Northampton Game Moved to JFK

Today's playoff game between the Ludlow Renegades and Northampton Swamp Dogs has been moved from Northampton High School to JFK field in Northampton.

Game time is still 2:00 p.m.

This Weekend's Playoff Games Remain Unchanged

Despite the rainouts tonight, this weekend's playoff games will be played as originally scheduled. Saturday's games will be hosted by the lower seeds and Sunday's games will be hosted by the higher seeds.

Game 3 of each series will be held on Monday, July 26 if necessary and will be hosted by the higher seed.

For Holyoke @ Chicopee, game 3 has been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday at St. Joe's in Palmer.

For Northampton @ Ludlow, game 3 has been scheduled for 5:45 p.m. on Monday at a field TBD. We should have confirmation on a field by Monday morning at the latest.

SPRINGFIELD - Holyoke Paper City earned the chance to face the league's defending champions in the semifinals with a 7-3 win over the OLSH Angels on Thursday night.

Holyoke will meet the Chicopee Tigers in a best-of-3 series starting tomorrow night.

Playoff Seedings Set

With today's OLSH / Agawam game final, the playoff seedings have been determined for the 2010 season:

1 - Chicopee Tigers (North Division Champion)
2 - Ludlow Renegades (South Division Champion)
3 - Northampton Swamp Dogs
4 - OLSH Angels of Springfield
5 - Holyoke Paper City

The #4 OLSH Angels will host the #5 Holyoke Paper City in a one-game play-in on Wednesday, July 21 at 5:45 p.m. The host team will have a field finalized and posted here tomorrow.

The playoff semifinals will be held starting Friday, July 23. A complete schedule will be posted in the couple of days.
